Umeshu 梅酒 Workshop 2014

Last weekend’s I ran my annual umeshu 梅酒 workshop and decided to spice things up this year (literally).

Of my 3 batches only the center one is umeshu, this year I added 700ml of spiced rum, vanilla beans, cinnamon, cloves, peppercorn and all spice.

The other 2 flanking are vanilla mango/blueberryshu and ninnikushu にんにく酒 (garlic liquor).

  1. Hey! I’ve just finished reading your blog in it’s entirety and wanted to leave a comment saying how much I enjoyed it! It was a shame to see the post numbers reduce in the event months as your antics and skillful retelling of them has left me hoping for more!

      Unfortunately as my time here has progressed I have become more and more invested in the Kobe JET community and at my schools leaving me little free time to write this blog.
